This impressive set Includes five brushes, brush rest, water pot, an “ink stick” (this is rubbed against the ink stone – the resulting concentrated powder is then mixed with drops of water from the water pot to make the ink), ink stone; a carved stone seal, and a porcelain jar of red seal paste. The seal is of the Chinese character Fu, which means good fortune.

Handmade in China in the master tradition since 200 A.D. this 14 Piece Master Calligraphy Set includes:

• 5 Artisan-quality, handmade goathair brushes with tapered bamboo handles (5.5″ length)
• 1 Hand-painted porcelain brush rest
• 1 Handcrafted suzuri ink grinding stone with two well rings (meas 4 x .625″)
• 1 Sumi-e ink block (25.6g) made from powdered burnt pine carbon decorated with gold and silver painted and embossed Chinese characters.
• 1 Jade “chop” (stone hand stamp and seal) of the Chinese character “Fu” (“good fortune”) topped with a grand carved dragon
