Soft, flexible yet substantial this thick distressed full grain leather journal features a hand finished, wrap around leather cover that is designed to keep the pages well protected. We like the level of rigidity found in this well crafted Italian Leather Latch Journal offering an unparalleled combination of flexibility and stability over any other soft cover journal we’ve seen. That combined with an hand forged 2.5 inch brushed antique finished, solid brass swinging latch closure makes this a very valuable book indeed. Masculine in every decorative detail; from the 8 distinctive rivets on the latch plate face to the accenting mono stitched cover edging, the cover unwraps to reveal thick creamy hand sawn deckled edged pages. These deckled edges are unique, and are achieved by sheering a cross-hatch pattern onto three sides of the pages using a specially crafted Italian paper cutter yielding a very manly rough trimmed book.
Inside are 260 – 5.6 x 8.25 inch sized pages (130 sheets) of thick 4.5 mil, acid-balanced, low-lignin Italian milled, cream colored paper.
